The Kpando District is one of the 15 districts in the Volta Region.  With Kpando as its capital, it is an old administrative district dating back to the colonial era.  The district shares boundaries with the Jasikan District in the north, Hohoe, Ho and Asuogyaman Districts to the south and the Volta Lake to the west.
